Overview

When Tivoli Audio® CEO Tom DeVesto and his team of engineers set out to create the next generation of home audio, they began with a simple question: What would the ideal radio do? The new Tivoli Audio NetWorks™ Global Audio System is the answer to that question. Taking advantage of broadcasting over the Internet, NetWorks delivers crystal-clear reception of any radio station, near or far, with no need for a computer. NetWorks allows listeners to tune in to Italian Opera from Milan, rock music from New York City, or any specialty, niche radio station from any location in the world in its native language, and in real time. It also allows access to music stored on personal computers from any room in the house through a wireless or Ethernet connection.

NetWorks features Tivoli Audio–quality sound as a stand-alone unit, but can be expanded with a stereo speaker, CD player, or subwoofer. And the NetWorks builds upon Tivoli Audio’s reputation as a design leader, offering a choice of furniture-quality hardwood cabinets. The result is an elegantly simple, beautifully designed, yet technologically-advanced NetWorks radio that points to the future of home audio entertainment.

NetWorks automatically upgrades its own software, so you always have the most up-to-date version. There’s an online community at NetWorks’ Global Portal (www.tivoliportal.com) where you can connect with other users, get support, and instantly add new stations to your Favorites list.

NetWorks is also available without FM.

One year warranty. Offered in Walnut/Gold, Cherry/Gold, and Wenge/Gold.

    Networks FM/Internet

This is a very good internet radio. It is not tricky with special codes as it works out of the box. The menu options take some practice to get used to. With wifi it is easy for set up. An on line I phone menu app would help for fast access to many stations but it is not available. The remote is needed for functioning many options on this radio. Blue tooth added would be nice. I was surprised but for quick access to favorite stations the five presets are adequate. The radio is worth its salt because the sound is excellent. I added the extra speaker later so stereo is superb. I also have it set up to a home stereo so as a tuner the radio is flawless. The radio makes a noticeable low noise ticking sound in operation but as a tuner to the home stereo I do not hear it amplified. I use it a lot alone as a radio. To be able to hear all my favorite Classical stations with out hiss makes the radio a good choice. it is better than squeezebox for sound but it won't get Pandora and tune in radio. It gets the stations that your computer offers. It is a tremendous radio for what it is designed to do. I wanted a radio that would play internet radio stations that are similar to what my computer offers, but I wanted it in a stand alone radio,Networks is such a device. Buy Sonos if you want subscription internet radio such as Tune in Radio and Pandora,do not buy this radio. Actually if you can afford it have a squeezebox or Grace radio because they could be played through networks aux input as that would give you the advantage of the fine sound of Networks.

NF: NetWorks® with FM - Can't fall asleep

The radio works well but the clock leaves a lot to be desired. Tivoli offers only a 20 minute sleep timer, too short for me. So, I keep resetting it and as a result, don't fall asleep as well as I did with my other clock radio.

The display is also pretty bright. It should dim when the room is dark or allow for an adjustment.

NF: NetWorks® with FM - I really like this radio

The only weak point on this net radio seemed to be that it was useless as a basic radio without a network connection. Not that our network connection goes out often, but having the FM backup is a nice touch.

NF: NetWorks® with FM - Love it!

This is definetly a plug and play device. I plugged it into my home network, turned it on. Immediately it found my media server and I was able to access all our music literally within a couple of minutes.
Living in Switzerland I love the ability to listen to our favorite US Stations so easily.
And yes, the sound quality is great!

NF: NetWorks® with FM - elegant and simple...almost

incredible sound as expected from a Tivoli product; initial set-up takes some patience and navigating the screens requires practice, but once up-and-running, opera from Italy is immediately accessible... very impressive.

NC: NetWorks® Stereo - What a beautiful little system

Wow! That's a beautiful radio. So elegant and simple, but it sounds great. And it does everything I would want a home radio system to do!
