Better Than Bose
I bought this radio as an alternative to Bose. I am very happy I did!

The Tivoli Audio® Model One® AM/FM table radio has been described as “the best sounding table radio ever made,” (MSNBC) offering “the kind of room-filling sound that many other radios claim to deliver but often don’t.” (Forbes)
With a tuner that brings clarity to many of the weakest stations, the Model One radio begins with a handmade wood cabinet that is both beautiful and the ideal acoustically inert speaker housing. A heavy-magnet, long-throw driver is mated to a frequency contouring circuit that automatically adjusts output over half-octave increments, resulting in musically accurate tonal balance and bass response. “When your stereophile loved ones turn the knob on the rock-solid Henry Kloss Model One Table Radio, they’ll toss out all their multiuse, Bluetooth-enabled gadgets and cry with hi-fi joy.” (Elle)
Like all Tivoli Audio products, the Model One AM/FM table radio is compatible with iPod and other players. Available in several finishes, for yourself or someone else you care about.
An external FM antenna and 9' power cord are included. One year warranty. Offered in Walnut/Beige, Maple/Hunter Green, Cherry/Cobalt Blue, Black Ash/Silver, White/Silver, Black Ash/Black-Silver and Cherry/Silver. Other colors available through select retailers.
The Model One is also available in the Frost White Collection which features a pure white hand-lacquered cabinet, silver knobs, and a vibrantly colored faceplate. And the Platinum Series which features a multi-layered, high-gloss, hand-lacquered wood cabinet.
Cappellini Model One radios are also available for a limited time.

Beautiful to look at. Beautiful to listen to. A beautiful radio in all ways.
My old Model One needed repair. I sent it to Tivoli Audio and in a week Tivoli sent me a new radio. How can it get any better?
My next audio device will be manufactured by Tivoli Audio.Recommend to a friend? Yes

9/22/12Amazing sound from such a small radio
I purchased the model one a few months ago and have found myself listening to it more often them my expensive audio components. The radio is great and picks up stations my other radios will not. I can get even greater enjoyment by playing my mp3 player by using a 3.5mm jack which plugs directly into the back of the radio. I was severely injured in a car accident by an intoxicated driver. I am now permanently disabled with a lot of time to listen to this fantastic little radio with great big sound. It is truly a fine example of 21 century technology. My only regret is not being able to purchase a model three but for what you get with the model one you will not be disappointed.

It's my companion when I'm at home and working in my room.
It pulls in the stations well and sounds very clear. It often reminds me of Henry Kloss one of the pioneer of early quality sound who contributed so much to many of the Tivoli creations.Recommend to a friend? Yes
