Looks great, could use a dimmer

I have had this radio for more than 6 years now and I love the looks. The sound is great. As one reviewer mentioned already, I wish it had dimmer or an option to turn off the display lights (including the green light that indicates that the alarm is on). The lights are too bright for my taste and I have cover them.

Feature issues

I listen to relaxing music played on the CD player attached to my Model One. Usually I read for a while, sometimes as long as an hour, before falling asleep. But it bugs me to leave the machines on all night. I would like a clock radio/CD player. Having a timer that can be set for at least an hour is a minimum requirement. The clock/timer functions are not
robust and do not match the audio and enclosure excellence of the Tivoli offerings.

excellent product

While staying at one of Atlanta's finest Hotel, I had the opportunity to try out the Tivoli Audio® Model Three® AM/FM clock radio. I knew I would have to purchase my own. Thanks for making a great product.

Backlight is bright

Wonderful sound quality. The design is very simple and elegant. The only draw-back is that the back light is bright! I need to put a cloth over the clock at night because it illuminates the room. I wish there was a dimmer control.

beautiful

I love my new radio. The only thing is the light is waaaay too bright at night. I put a cloth over it when I'm sleeping. I wish there was a dimmer or off switch for the light. Otherwise, the sound is great, and it looks beautiful on my night table.

I would re-design the radio so that the station numbers are more visible - they are hard to read. Also, the light on the clock should be able to be shut off while one is sleeping.
Otherwise, I like the wood case and proportions.

M3: Model Three Clock Radio - Excellent Bedside Radio

I've had the Model Three for a number of years, and it's as good as a clock radio gets. With the second speaker and the Model CD alongside it, it works well as a full stereo for a small room. Sound is excellent and the unit is beautiful. The alarm clock isn't as reliable as I'd like, but this is a minor issue. Excellent product for bedside and small rooms.

M3: Model Three Clock Radio - Lovely product-can't read the time!

I love this product HOWEVER it is very difficult to read the time! The clock hands are the same length but different widths. It is quite amazing to me how this really makes it hard to tell what the time is, esp in the middle of the night. I also have it on my night stand, and i think the height of the night stand vis-a-vis the height of my head may make for a bad combo. But, I still lOVE LOVE LOVE IT b/c it is so beautiful!

M3: Model Three Clock Radio - Quality Quality Quality

I've had my Model 3 for just over a year and love it. The sound is awesome and it impressively has a vast array of inputs and outputs in the back. I use it as my bedroom clock radio and the alarm works wonderfully in every mode. I love the aux input as I play my Ipod through it and use it as a connection to my PC so I can listen to one of my favorite stations, BBC Radio 2, from the U.K.. I only rated the "ease of use" 4 stars as you set the alarm with the clock casing that has to be turned in one direction only. I can't wait to get my next Tivoli, a Networks, ane I no longer will need to wire in my PC.
Anyone looking for a high quality, beautifully finished radio cannot go wrong with the Model 3.

M3: Model Three Clock Radio - My Favorite Bedside Clock Radio Ever!

I've owned the Model Three for over a year. My wife and I use it in our master bedroom. One speaker and clock for me (with controls) and one speaker and clock for her. We keep our iPod plugged in so we can sit in bed and read with some soothing background music to listen to with a cup of tea. The sound is exceptional at any volume level. Sometimes while we're getting ready in the morning, we'll crank it up and listen as we're going from bathroom to closet. I've never heard any distortion at any volume level. And I like the sound better than the Boss Wave radio our friends have. I use a pillow speaker sometimes and listen while I fall asleep with the pillow speaker plugged into the headphone jack. The Model Three has an easy to use sleep timer so I can put some nice music on to fall asleep to and the radio will turn off after I'm asleep. I also use my Pioneer Inno satellite radio with the Model Three. Sometimes I'll escape into the bedroom and turn on the radio and listen while I read or just surf stations on my satellite radio. My wife didn't like my other ugly radios. When I found the Model One, she liked the looks so we found the Model Three and bought if for our bedroom. Now she's happy with the looks and we both love the rich stereo sound. And she got rid of her old yucky looking alarm clock and used the Model Three alarm now. We can each use our alarms independently of each other.

M3: Model Three Clock Radio - Analog is not dead!

Simple, high quality, elegant.... these are a few words that come to mind. And then you turn it on and listen to it! I love Tivoli table radios; I know of no equal for sound or old fashioned high quality style.

The only thing that would make it better would be if the alarm bezel would rotate in both directions, but that is minor really.

M3: Model Three Clock Radio - Very good radio clock

Please note that I referred to the Model Three as a 'radio clock' instead of 'clock radio'. The radio - both the reception and the sound - is outstanding. The alarm clock works fine too but it is just a clock - it is very useful but you don't 'enjoy' a clock. The radio, though, is truly enjoyable. The auxiliary input, stereo headphone output, sub output, extra speaker output, and the excellent build quality put the Model Three way ahead of the competition. The only criticism I have is that the lettering is not too readable under all light conditions.

M3: Model Three Clock Radio - Beutiful Clock Radio

This a beautiful and unique product; extremely simple design yet with numerous inputs and outputs; great for playing podcasts from an iPod or other MP3 player. The sound is a bit heavy on the bass for talk radio and news but great for most any type of music. The clock runs off of a battery so power outages will not affect the alarm.

M3: Model Three Clock Radio - I love waking to this radio

It's easy to tune into stations. It's a pleasure to wake to it in the morning. Sometimes I plug my laptop into it and watch a movie in bed. Sound quality is very nice, particularly with the second speaker. The only reason I didn't rate the audio quality higher is the McIntosh in the living room.

M3: Model Three Clock Radio - Favorite Clock Radio Ever

I have had my Model 3 for some time now and have been very happy with it. Styling is excellent, and the features including battery backup for the clock, AUX support (for MP3), sub and remote speaker have made it the best clock radio I have ever owned.

My only concern has been the sensitivity of the receiver--was expecting to be blown away, but it is average. Thankfully connecting an MP3 player or portable CD to it is a snap!
